Philippine's Fried Banana Rolls (Turon)

Tackling another dessert here! This time, it's one of my favorites. While the ingredients of this dish might be harder to come by especially for non-tropical countries, it is a definitely easy and quick dish to make. This dish is basically deep fried plantains called Turon by the Filipinos. Topped with vanilla ice cream, this will surely be a new addition to your list of staple comfort foods! Ingredients: 5-6 pieces of plantains, cut lengthwise 1 1/2 cup sugar Spring roll wrapper 1/2 cup water 1 cup sliced jackfruit - optional (canned jackfruits can be found at the International Food Section of Rimi) 2 cups oil for frying 1 pint vanilla ice cream Procedure: 1.  Place the sugar on a plate. Take the sliced plantains and roll those on the sugar. Make sure that the plantain is coated evenly. Repeat the process with the rest of the plantains. 2. On another plate, lay the spring roll wrapper open. Place the sugar-coated plantain and the jackfruit (optional) on one side. Fold the sides
